Client Education

At MPS we dismantle the “smoke & mirrors” associated with lending. We feel our clients deserve truth and understanding, so we educate them. And we fully disclose all company revenue per loan and why we are worth every penny. No surprises. No hidden fees. No hidden agendas. At MPS, we are about great products, great rates, impressive service and the guidance, information and
education clients want and need.

How We Educate

We pride ourselves on both our commitment to and talents at educating our clientele. We want clients to understand what they are doing and why they are doing it. Whenever possible, we sit with each client and explain every disclosure in their loan application and draw pictures to explain complicated concepts in a simple way. When necessary, we direct them to video while on the phone. It’s important - educated clients are less anxious, more cooperative and they refer more. Plus it’s the right thing to do.

“Mortgage-Speak” Translated for Clarity

What makes a good broker? Is it a sharp-dressed man speaking in some foreign mortgage tongue? Is it a beautiful, pleasant woman who can’t explain the simplest of things? Is it a guy in flip-flops better at breweries than at returning calls?
The answer is none of the above.

A good mortgage broker is a professional who can communicate complex mortgage concepts in a way that you can understand;
It is someone who can translate mortgaging and real estate, but who only teaches the amount you require.
Overwhelming is not educating. Impressing is not educating.

Creating a bridge between confusion and understanding is educating.

MPS Education Modules

MPS seeks mortgage consultants who are a cross between a mathematician and a teacher; people gifted at educating varied clients in a way specific to each client’s needs. Advantages in a properly tailored mortgage and the multigenerational wealth real estate creates is a lot to know. And it must be simplified as well as communicated in a language clients speak. All too often, when people speak of their mortgage experience at lesser brokerages it’s about how “lost” they felt. Well, the opposite of ‘being lost’ is not ‘being found’. The opposite of being lost is the clarity you get at MPS.

Video Distribution

In addition to every topic we teach (which includes the education modules above), MPS has a host of other video content that we distribute to current clients, potential clients, real estate agents and others for various reasons. This helps to educate our clientele, the clientele of others, professionals and the public at large.

The Hierarchy of Mortgage Originators

The following video is an example of what MPS might send to a real estate agent’s client who is deciding on who should originate their mortgage. It humorously teaches the differences between Retail Loan Originators, Retail Banks, Mortgage Bankers and MPS, an independent Mortgage Broker to the Sesame Street theme “Who are the people in your neighborhood”.
